⚠️ This One Mistake Could Cost You Everything 🚨

Hey Reader,

Ever have that moment where everything looks good on the outside…
but you realize you haven’t really thought about protecting any of it?

You’re building the business. Showing up for your family. Chasing big goals.
Then it hits you.

What if something goes wrong?

Not in a fearful way. Just real.

That’s exactly why this conversation stood out to me.

In this episode of The Happy Hustle Podcast, I sat down with Michael Julian. He’s a third-generation private investigator, CEO of Security MPS, and an active shooter trainer who’s spent decades in the field. He started working alongside his dad at 16, built multiple companies, and created a training method that helps people respond in high-pressure situations.

This isn’t theory for him. He’s seen how things play out in real life.

And that’s what makes this episode important.

A lot of entrepreneurs spend years building something meaningful, but barely think about how to protect it. Not just the business, but their time, their family, their peace.

Michael brought a perspective most of us don’t hear often.

One thing that really stuck with me is how he talked about being proactive.

Most people wait until something goes wrong before they start paying attention. By then, it’s already stressful, sometimes too late. When you build awareness early, you actually feel more relaxed, not more anxious.

He also broke down the difference between a security mindset and a survival mindset.

Security is about preparation. Awareness. Paying attention before anything happens.
Survival is what kicks in when you’re already in it.

Both matter, but most people never train either.

Another thing I took away was situational awareness.

Not being paranoid. Just noticing behavior. Trusting your instincts when something feels off. That applies everywhere, not just in public spaces, but in business deals, online interactions, even leadership decisions.

We also talked about how easy it is to get caught in scams or misinformation right now.

Things look real. Messages feel urgent. But slowing down, double-checking, and asking one more question can save you a lot of trouble.

And maybe the part I appreciated most was hearing how Michael has grown over time.

Less hustle for the sake of hustle. More presence. More intention. Actually enjoying what he’s built.

That’s the goal.

Build something meaningful. Protect it. And still be able to live your life.

If you’re building something you care about, this is a conversation worth listening to.

Keep Happy Hustlin’.
