๐Ÿ“š The One Habit That Could Give You an Unfair Advantage in the AI Age ๐Ÿคฏ

Hey Reader,

When was the last time you finished an entire book?

Not a blog post.

Not a reel.

Not a 30-second TikTok.

A real, cover-to-cover book.

If you're struggling to remember...

You're definitely not alone.

I caught myself the other day instinctively reaching for my phone while waiting in line for coffee.

Thirty seconds.

That's all it took before my brain wanted another hit of information.

Sound familiar?

We live in a world that's constantly competing for our attention.

Every notification.

Every scroll.

Every "just one more video."

And before we know it, an hour disappears.

โ€‹That's exactly why this week's episode of The Happy Hustle Podcast feels so important.

I sat down with my good friend Nick Hutchison, founder of BookThinkers and bestselling author of Rise of the Reader, and we had one of the most eye-opening conversations I've had in a while.

Nick believes reading is becoming a superpower.

And honestly...

I think he's right.

Not because books are making a comeback.

Because focus is becoming rare.

Think about it.

AI can generate content.

Algorithms can recommend ideas.

Social media can keep you entertained for hours.

But none of those things can replace your ability to think critically, connect ideas, and develop wisdom.

Books still do that better than anything else.

One thing Nick shared really stuck with me.

He read The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss and didn't just highlight his favorite quotes.

He bought a one-way ticket to Argentina.

No plan.

No Spanish.

No connections.

Was it messy?

Absolutely.

Was it life-changing?

Without question.

That's the difference between collecting information and actually using it.

Because here's the truth...

Reading doesn't change your life.

Applied reading does.

We also talked about why writing a book might be one of the smartest investments an entrepreneur can make.

Not because you'll magically become famous.

But because books build trust before you ever walk into the room.

They open doors.

Create opportunities.

Start conversations.

Sometimes years after you've written them.

It's one of the reasons I wrote The Happy Hustle 2.0.

Not to sell more books.

But to serve more people.

At the end of the day...

I don't think the people who thrive in the AI era will be the ones consuming the most content.

I think it'll be the ones who can slow down long enough to think deeply, learn intentionally, and take meaningful action.

Because while everyone else is busy scrolling...

You'll be growing.

If you've been feeling distracted...

Overwhelmed...

Or like your focus isn't what it used to be...

I really think this conversation will encourage you.

I'd like to know...

What's one book that's changed your life?

Hit reply and let me know. I read every email.

Hey Reader, Let me be straight up. This alignment isn't about religion. I don't care what you believe in specifically. What I do care about? That you have faith in something bigger than yourself. Could be God. Could be the universe. Could be a higher power you don't even have a name for yet. What matters is that you have some kind of inner life. A practice that grounds you when everything around you is spinning. I've been practicing Daoist healing arts since I was a kid. My mom introduced me...

Hey Reader, When was the last time you spent money on something you'll barely remember... But passed on an experience you'll never forget? I think we've all done it. A new gadget. Another subscription. Something that felt exciting for about a week... And now it's sitting in a drawer collecting dust. But ask me about hiking through Glacier National Park with fellow entrepreneurs... Watching my kids laugh around a campfire... Or taking an adventure with the people I love most... I can tell you...

Hey Reader, Have you ever hit a goal you worked your tail off for... Only to feel excited for about five minutes before your brain started chasing the next one? I've done it more times than I can count. You launch the business. Hit the revenue goal. Buy the house. Reach the follower milestone. And before you even celebrate... Your mind whispers, "Okay... what's next?" Sound familiar? In this episode of The Happy Hustle Podcast. I talk about something psychologists call the hedonic treadmill....
